I'm an independent researcher and final-year cybersecurity undergraduate fascinated by HPC, systems research & engineering, machine learning & adaptive systems, and, of course, The Linux.
Most days you'll find me reading research papers, building something in Rust, Go or C, (or) tweaking my Arch Linux setup (I use Arch, btw.) (or) Experimenting in Python (or) creating/designing exploit challenges for CTF events, referred with author name as "ZenRage". I've always enjoyed understanding how things work—from my roots in system security to HPC technology and machine learning models to open-source AI systems and operating systems to compilers, kernels, and package managers. If it's open source, there's a good chance I'll end up reading the code sooner or later.
That curiosity is probably why I like to think the world is open source. People say curiosity killed the cat. I like to think it just forgot to make a backup. Curiosity gave us Linux, open source, and countless people spending their weekends fixing bugs in software they'll never own—not because they had to, but because they genuinely wanted to understand how it worked... and how much better it could be with one more tweak. It's all part of the game, maybe that's what drew me to research in the first place. Understanding how things work—and wondering how they could work even better.
And I guess it was only a matter of time before that curiosity turned into research. These days I'm exploring HPC, computing systems, and systems architecture—how complex systems are designed, how they scale, how they perform under demanding workloads, and what makes them reliable and efficient in the long run. I'm also interested in how machine learning systems behave after they're deployed—how they adapt, how they respond to change, and what makes them reliable in the long run. And when I'm not doing research, I'm usually building something. I enjoy experimenting with HPC, Linux internals, and writing terminal-first developer tools, exploring systems programming and security research, and occasionally creating projects simply because they solve a problem I ran into—or because they sounded fun. I have a soft spot for the Unix philosophy, keyboard-driven workflows, and software that's simple enough to understand yet powerful enough to grow with its users.
I hope to contribute to HPC, trustworthy computing & machnine learning systems, and the open-source ecosystem by building systems software that's transparent, reliable, and enjoyable to hack on. At the end of the day, whether it's a research paper, a side project, or another late-night rabbit hole through the source code, it's all for the love of the game.
