• Contains on a JSON primitive collection compares JSON text, so DateTime and TimeOnly items never match

• Array translations: chained Skip/Take return an empty array, int.MaxValue bounds overflow, and Intersect().Any() ignores NULL elements

npgsql/efcore.pg#4098 · Filter by author CaffeinatedCoder opened on Oct 24, 2026

• ExecuteUpdate copying an out-of-range JSON array element sets the whole JSON column to NULL

npgsql/efcore.pg#4097 · Filter by author CaffeinatedCoder opened on Oct 24, 2026

• Conversions to text: a char space is lost, Convert.ToString(bool) gives true, and string.Join with a null separator returns NULL

npgsql/efcore.pg#4096 · Filter by author CaffeinatedCoder opened on Oct 24, 2026

• Numeric casts round instead of truncating, (byte) casts don't wrap, and BigInteger division isn't integer division

npgsql/efcore.pg#4095 · Filter by author CaffeinatedCoder opened on Oct 24, 2026

• Regex translation: Regex.Replace substitutions are passed through, Singleline | Multiline gets the wrong flag, and [^x] never matches a newline

npgsql/efcore.pg#4094 · Filter by author CaffeinatedCoder opened on Oct 24, 2026

• NTS: the M ordinate is dropped from geometry SQL literals and from geometries stored in JSON

• NTS translations that use the wrong PostGIS function or drop an argument: EqualsExact, Buffer(d, EndCapStyle), Length, NumPoints, Combine, EnvelopeCombiner

npgsql/efcore.pg#4092 · Filter by author CaffeinatedCoder opened on Oct 24, 2026

• EF.Functions.Sum over TimeSpan/Duration/Period: a filter on the group becomes <> NULL, and null checks on the result fold away

  Bug

• BCL date/time members: .Second rounds (up to 60), TimeOnly.IsBetween across midnight, TimeOnly - TimeOnly, lifted DateTimeOffset.DateTime

npgsql/efcore.pg#4090 · Filter by author CaffeinatedCoder opened on Oct 24, 2026

• TimeSpan/Duration component members: negative values are floored, and intervals computed in SQL are read field by field

npgsql/efcore.pg#4088 · Filter by author CaffeinatedCoder opened on Oct 24, 2026

• Date arithmetic on timestamptz follows the session time zone: Instant + Duration, AddDays/AddMonths on UTC DateTime and DateTimeOffset

npgsql/efcore.pg#4087 · Filter by author CaffeinatedCoder opened on Oct 24, 2026

• Negative TimeSpan/Duration constants with a day part become the wrong INTERVAL literal, also in HasData and HasDefaultValue; float constants lose their type

npgsql/efcore.pg#4086 · Filter by author CaffeinatedCoder opened on Oct 24, 2026

• NodaTime time-zone conversions disagree with NodaTime: ambiguous local times, date parts in the session time zone, Instant.InZone().ToInstant()

npgsql/efcore.pg#4085 · Filter by author CaffeinatedCoder opened on Oct 24, 2026

• Several translations declare the wrong nullability, so !=, !(==) and == null drop or keep the wrong rows (same class as #3585)

npgsql/efcore.pg#4084 · Filter by author CaffeinatedCoder opened on Oct 24, 2026

• DateInterval.Intersection translates to *, so a null test on the result filters wrongly
