Hi, I'm Miro 👋

I'm a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer from Italy, based in UAE. I currently lead development of a real-time data-processing and visualization application in a restricted-access environment. I've worked in the private, academic and government sectors: building financial systems for the Italian credit bureau, conducting award-winning research at New York University, and working on national projects in the UAE, including the Space Agency and the Ministry of Health.

Outside of work, I've built open-source projects used by hundreds of thousands of websites, with more than 500k downloads on npm and 200k on WordPress. I also built a web app that reached two million users and a mobile game with over 150,000 downloads.

Education: a first-generation college graduate, with a 4.00 GPA in both my MS and BS at the University of Bologna, while paying for my education by working as a waiter.
