WalkthroughAuthentication switch data now retains any trailing NUL byte. The plugin contract documents this input. The caching SHA-2 and password encryption paths reject challenges shorter than 20 bytes and use the first 20 bytes. ChangesAuthentication challenge handling

293-293: 🎯 Functional Correctness | 🔵 Trivial | ⚡ Quick winTest a switch challenge with a trailing NUL.
AuthPlugin.InitAuthrequires the driver to preserve trailing NUL bytes. The current test sends no trailing NUL and expects no trailing NUL. The previous parser would therefore still pass this test. Restore the NUL in the payload and both seed assertions.Suggested fix

Explaining the NUL byte here won't make sense to readers who aren't already aware of this issue. Please revert this change.

Description
Follow-up to #1696, which introduced the AuthPlugin interface. To let other authentication plugins be implemented on top of it, the driver must not interpret the server challenge on their behalf.
parseAuthSwitchData stripped a trailing 0x00 from every auth switch request.
That only matches plugins whose challenge is a NUL-terminated 20-byte scramble (mysql_native_password, caching_sha2_password, sha256_password).
To permit having new plugins, plugins must receive the raw nonce. This cannot permit adding any plugin : for example mariadb plugins such as client_ed25519 and MariaDB parsec, send 32 bytes nonce without \0 terminator. so cannot use current implementation since it would be truncated to 31 bytes.
this PR send raw authentication data directly to plugin.
The existing
client_ed25519unit test could not catch this: it callsInitAuthdirectly with a fixed nonce that does not end with 0x00 (it never goes throughparseAuthSwitchData).Checklist
