What does this PR do?

Removes two phantom slash commands from the hermes-agent SKILL.md that don't exist in the command registry, preventing agents from suggesting non-existent commands to users.

Related Issue

Fixes #50605

Type of Change

  • 🐛 Bug fix (non-breaking change that fixes an issue)

Changes Made

  • skills/autonomous-ai-agents/hermes-agent/SKILL.md: Remove /skill <name> line (no such command exists; only /skills is registered)
  • skills/autonomous-ai-agents/hermes-agent/SKILL.md: Fix /quit alias list — remove /q (it is an alias for /queue, not /quit)
  • skills/autonomous-ai-agents/hermes-agent/SKILL.md: Update troubleshooting section to reference hermes -s name instead of nonexistent /skill

How to Test

  1. Open skills/autonomous-ai-agents/hermes-agent/SKILL.md
  2. Verify /skill <name> no longer appears in the Tools & Skills section (line ~300)
  3. Verify /quit (/exit) in the Exit section no longer includes /q
  4. Verify the troubleshooting "Skills not showing" section references hermes -s name only
  5. Cross-reference with hermes_cli/commands.py: confirm /queue has alias q (line 107) and /quit has alias exit only (line 238)

Checklist

Code

  • I've read the Contributing Guide
  • My commit messages follow Conventional Commits (fix(scope):, feat(scope):, etc.)
  • I searched for existing PRs to make sure this isn't a duplicate
  • My PR contains only changes related to this fix/feature (no unrelated commits)
  • I've run pytest tests/ -q and all tests pass
  • I've added tests for my changes (required for bug fixes, strongly encouraged for features)
  • I've tested on my platform: macOS

Documentation & Housekeeping

  • I've updated relevant documentation (README, docs/, docstrings) — or N/A
  • I've updated cli-config.yaml.example if I added/changed config keys — or N/A
  • I've updated CONTRIBUTING.md or AGENTS.md if I changed architecture or workflows — or N/A
  • I've considered cross-platform impact (Windows, macOS) per the compatibility guide — or N/A
  • I've updated tool descriptions/schemas if I changed tool behavior — or N/A

Code Intelligence

⚠️ GitNexus unavailable (stale index) — grep-based fallback used.

  • Checked: hermes_cli/commands.py lines 106-108 (/queue alias q), 237-238 (/quit alias exit)
  • Blast radius: LOW — docs-only change, no code or behavior modified
  • Related patterns: Command registry in hermes_cli/commands.py defines all valid slash commands

- Remove `/skill <name>` (does not exist in command registry; only `/skills` exists)
- Fix `/quit` alias: remove `/q` (it is an alias for `/queue`, not `/quit`)
- Update troubleshooting section to reference `hermes -s name` instead of nonexistent `/skill`

Thanks for identifying a real registry/documentation mismatch. Current main confirms the core correction: q belongs to /queue (hermes_cli/commands.py:110-111), /quit has only exit (hermes_cli/commands.py:253-254), and there is no built-in singular skill command (hermes_cli/commands.py:177-181).

Problems

  • The patch updates only skills/autonomous-ai-agents/hermes-agent/SKILL.md. The published English bundled-skill page still contains all three stale references at website/docs/user-guide/skills/bundled/autonomous-ai-agents/autonomous-ai-agents-hermes-agent.md:307, :353, and :850.
  • The zh-Hans bundled-skill mirror has the same stale references at website/i18n/zh-Hans/docusaurus-plugin-content-docs/current/user-guide/skills/bundled/autonomous-ai-agents/autonomous-ai-agents-hermes-agent.md:296, :342, and :752.

Suggested changes

  • Synchronize those English and zh-Hans bundled-skill pages with this correction.

Automated hermes-sweeper review.

Please synchronize this correction, plus the removed /skill references, to the published English and zh-Hans bundled-skill pages. Both currently still advertise /skill and /quit (/exit, /q) (website/docs/user-guide/skills/bundled/autonomous-ai-agents/autonomous-ai-agents-hermes-agent.md:307, :353, :850; localized mirror :296, :342, :752).

Audited every reference against ground truth (COMMAND_REGISTRY, argparse
--help output, TOOLSETS dict, provider profiles, DEFAULT_CONFIG) and
corrected drift the restructure had carried over verbatim:

- slash-commands.md: rebuilt from the live registry. Removes the phantom
/skill command (never existed — skills load via /skills, hermes -s, or a
skill's own /<name> command) and the wrong /q alias on /quit (/q belongs
  to /queue) — both reported by @liuhao1024 in #50608 and @gauravsaxena1997
in #50613. Adds ~25 real commands that were missing (/learn, /memory,
  /pet, /hatch, /bundles, /moa, /suggestions, /blueprint, /whoami, …) with
  correct aliases and CLI/GW scoping.
- cli-reference.md: verified flags (-z/--oneshot, --tui/--cli, --safe-mode),
  real subcommand sets for config/setup/sessions/skills/gateway/mcp/profile/
auth/webhook/cron/skin/pets, added missing top-level commands (fallback,
project, moa, logs, console, hooks, security, backup); condensed tables.
- providers-and-models.md: rebuilt from the 36 shipped provider profiles
with their actual env vars (was 21 rows, several stale); folds in the
  alias system and fallback-chain command.
- configuration.md: toolset table matches TOOLSETS (adds coding,
  computer_use, video_gen, context_engine, project; drops nonexistent
  messaging/rl), config sections match DEFAULT_CONFIG, STT/TTS provider
  lists match the shipped set.
- background-systems.md: curator verbs match the argparse surface.
- troubleshooting/security-privacy/windows-quirks/contributor-guide: fixed
dangling 'section above/below' references from the body split; moved the
reset-permissions playbook to security-privacy.md (its routing home).

Closing with credit — your fix landed via #70511 (merged as 46c7a40). You were the earliest to catch both errors (phantom /skill, wrong /q alias); the merge commit carries a Reported-by trailer for you and your contributor email mapping was added. The branch itself couldn't be merged directly because the skill was restructured into a hub (#70452) and the lines moved into references/slash-commands.md, which was rebuilt from the live registry. Thanks!
